Welcome to Plates for Change

We are excited to launch Plates For Change, dedicated to ending childhood hunger and food insecurity in our community.

We are a group of more than 20 Seacoast residents who passionately believe that no child should have to worry about where his or her next meal is coming from. All children should have access to the healthy, nutritious foods they need to learn and grow. Our board includes restaurant owners and industry professionals, a nutritionist, health coaches, teachers, media, marketing and public relations experts, and many others who are sharing their unique skills to help kids thrive.

The board, through its past fundraising event held for 25 years in the Seacoast, has supported eight grant recipients and will continue to do so. Our mission is to support organizations that are feeding our community, working on school gardens and farm-to-school programs, helping new parents, and looking for sustainable solutions to the problem of childhood hunger.

We want to examine and strengthen current state and local policies relating to hunger and poverty. Additionally, we want to educate and empower kids and parents by providing resources related to health and nutrition, shopping on a budget, cooking from scratch, and the importance of whole, unprocessed foods in a healthy diet.

This space is a place where people can connect and learn about our events and our grant recipients, as well as local food initiatives.

Stay tuned!
